Hopes for next year's garden

Click on the image to see the detail of the painting.

With the season change and everything turning brown and gray here in the mountains, I find myself already making new plans for next years garden at Periwinkle Pass.

The growing season was much too short this year. The inspiration for this painting - if flowers and veggies can be cultivated here maybe it is a time to grow more joy, gratitude, blissfulness, contentment, happiness and love.

Saturday On the Way to the Game

Every Saturday my youngest son has a soccer game (someday's 2 games). I realized how lucky I am to live here in the NC mountain. The Valle Crucis area is full of beautiul sites and I get to see them every day. So often I take them for granted.

On the way down the mountain to the soccer field, here are a few of my sights this morning.
A white horse from the Taylor Farm taking a walk in the creek.
And a man plowing his garden with a horse drawn plow.
And finally, my son (who wasn't feeling so well) waiting to get into the game. A great day!!! and it is only beginning.

Here is another piece of jewelry. This is a gold filled piece with hammer circles, amethyst, garnet, very light aquamarine, and small crystal and pearl.
