The furniture painting has begun.
Something new for me... am I enjoying it??? still questionable.

Before:

6 drawer chest from auction

3 chairs from the dump
(my children were mortified)

During:

After:

new milky color with pewter finished handles
"burlap" like seat covering (no shedding)

Saw your link on Miss Mustard Seed and these look fantastic!! Great job! And smart move on the burlap "like" covering. I don't understand why/how people use real burlap if they are actually going to sit on the chair because of all the shedding!

They look beautiful! I'm with Decorchick - I love the look of burlap, but the shedding must be an issue - plus the 'ouch' factor!

Your pieces look very nice. Great combination with the chest of drawers and the chair.

The chest and chairs look wonderful! Those chairs are far too beautiful to be put in the dump, before you did anything to them. You did a fabulous job on them!

Hey! I found a link to your blog (and mine too!) on a RUSSIAN website. I’m sending the site and I also translated it with Babelfish translator. Thought you might get a kick out of this. Too funny!

I LOVE the transformation. The hardware you chose was exactly the right touch! And those chairs are insane, I can't believe someone was trashing them. Sad for them, good for you!

Thanks so much for sharing in our first Fresh Coat Friday!!!
